Who can use MotorUnity?

MotorUnity is open to licensed PHV drivers, vehicle owners, fleet operators, and PHV-related businesses (insurance, maintenance, training, legal, etc.). All members must register and verify their email address.

Is MotorUnity free to use?

Browsing listings is completely free. Posting listings requires a plan — we offer a free tier with limited listings, and paid plans for more visibility and features. See our Pricing page for full details.

How do I register?

Click "Register Free" in the header. Choose your role (driver or vehicle owner), enter your details, and verify your email. You can start browsing immediately and post listings once your profile is complete.

How do I find a vehicle to rent?

Go to Find Vehicles and use the filters to narrow by region, fuel type, weekly rent, and PCO status. You can contact owners directly through our secure messaging system.

What is rent-to-buy?

Rent-to-buy is a scheme where you pay a weekly rate and own the vehicle outright after an agreed number of weeks — typically 2–3 years. There is usually no large upfront deposit. Browse our Rent to Buy listings to see current availability.

How do I know a listing is genuine?

Look for the Verified badge on listings — these have been checked by our team. You can also check the owner's Trust Score. We recommend always viewing a vehicle in person before agreeing to any payment.

What is a Trust Score?

A Trust Score is a number from 0–100 that reflects how verified and reputable a member is. It is built from email verification, profile completion, licence verification, and community reviews. Higher scores indicate more trustworthy members.

How do I list my vehicle?

Register as a vehicle owner, complete your profile to build your Trust Score, then go to your dashboard and click "Add listing". You can list vehicles for rent, rent-to-buy, or outright sale.

How much does it cost to list?

Our Starter plan includes one free listing. The Professional plan (£29/month) allows up to 10 listings with featured placement. The Fleet plan (£79/month) is for operators with larger fleets. See Pricing for full details.

How do I get my listing verified?

Submit your V5C and PCO licence details through your dashboard. Our team will review and verify within 2 business days. Verified listings receive a badge and priority placement in search results.

Can I list vehicles for sale?

Yes. When creating a listing, select "For Sale" as the listing type and enter the sale price. Your listing will appear on the Vehicles for Sale page.

Does MotorUnity handle payments between members?

MotorUnity facilitates introductions between drivers and owners — we do not currently process rental payments between members. Payments for platform subscriptions and boost features are handled securely via Stripe.

What should I do if I suspect fraud?

Use the "Report listing" button on any suspicious listing. Never pay money before viewing a vehicle in person. If you believe you have been defrauded, contact Action Fraud (actionfraud.police.uk) and report to us immediately.

How do I report a problem with a member?

Use the report button on their profile or listing. For urgent safety concerns, contact our safety team directly via the Safety Centre. We review all reports within 24 hours.

Is my personal data safe?
